Weaponry
The weapons developed during the Civil War was a lot better than weapons of old times. The new rifles that had a spiral inner barrel propelled each minnie ball in a spinning motion, increasing its range over four-hundred yards. Especially the new minnie ball, it was more deadly and smashed on impact destroying all in its way. The new advancement also kept the bullet in human body.
Telegraph
The telegraph, also known as the e-mail of the 19th century was invented by Samuel Morse. Its purpose was to send signals from one point of the war to another. Overall it brought ultimate communication sending real-time info to President Lincoln from his generals.
Railroads
The railroads was also a big factor in helping each army. It was highly used to transport goods, ammunition, or soldiers far and wide to aid armies. The more supplies brought in to help the army, the better advantage they would have on their enemy.
Sewing Machine
The sewing machine expanded the development of cloth. It was a lot easier and faster to make things like tents, military uniforms, and blankets. It also bettered the efficiency of the few things it made. Cloth had a greater use and lasted longer than ever before.
Iron Gunships
The battle on sea were between wooden warships. The Confederate armies fought back with a new highly advanced ship with iron sides and, sunk two Union ships. After experiencing this lost, the Union came up with a ship of their own. These iron gunships changed the whole aspect of war on sea. This advancement ultimately brought the war to another level.
